Where STEAM Learning Grows—One Garden at a Time
Growums Garden Adventure™ is a hands-on, classroom-ready gardening program that brings science, sustainability, and nutrition to life. Designed for elementary students, this 6-week experience turns your classroom into an interactive, real-world learning environment—with no cost to teachers, families, or schools.
Every participating classroom receives a full set of materials to support an engaging, no-prep teaching experience:
- Take-Home Gardens – Each student receives their own personal garden to grow at home
- Classroom Garden Kit – A shared growing project that builds teamwork and curiosity
- Teacher Toolkit – Includes lesson plans, student handbooks, storybooks, vocabulary cards, posters, card decks, and a classroom journal featuring the Growums mascot
- 15-Minute Modular Lessons – Designed to easily integrate into your regular school day
Built by Educators, For Educators
This program was created in collaboration with teachers and curriculum experts. It aligns with core STEAM principles and is designed to be flexible, fun, and easy to implement—no extra prep or outside resources required.
Growums Garden Adventure is funded entirely by generous local businesses and brand partners who believe in giving back.
In return, they receive:
- Positive exposure in schools and communities they care about
- Recognition as educational supporters and community partners
- Local marketing campaigns that highlight their involvement and impact
- Authentic connection to teachers, students, and families
We run targeted social media campaigns within a 10-mile radius of every participating school, making sure local communities know who, what, how, and why—and giving our partners the recognition they deserve.
In May 2025, Growums Garden Adventure launched a major pilot in Michigan—reaching over 5,200 students across 107 schools.
With generous sponsorship from Barton Nurseries, classrooms came alive with hands-on learning, joyful planting, and schoolwide engagement.
- Students were thrilled to grow their own food
- Teachers praised the simplicity and impact of the curriculum
Communities rallied around the effort, boosting pride and participation
